Ethics Training Certificates

California’s AB 1234 requires ethics training for local government officials, including board members of special districts. Under this law, board members must complete at least two hours of ethics training within six months of taking office and every two years thereafter. The training covers essential topics such as conflicts of interest, public records laws, transparency, and financial disclosure requirements. The goal of AB 1234 is to ensure that public officials are well-informed about ethical standards, promoting transparency, accountability, and trust in local government operations.
